Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve gathered some of the most common questions to help you feel prepared, comfortable and confident when visiting Project Pamper. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, just get in touch — we’re always happy to help.

Booking & Opening

When is Project Pamper open?

We open Tuesday to Friday, 11am to 8pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 6pm. We are closed on Mondays.

How do I book an appointment?

Book online at projectpamper.co.uk, or message us on WhatsApp. Choose your treatment, therapist and time, and pay a deposit to confirm. You'll receive an email confirmation straight away.

Do you take walk-ins?

We recommend booking ahead to secure your preferred time and therapist, particularly at weekends. We do keep some availability for walk-ins where the day allows, so it's always worth asking.

Can I request a specific therapist?

Yes. You can choose your preferred therapist when you book online, subject to their availability. If they're unavailable on the day, we'll contact you to offer an alternative therapist or a reschedule at no charge.

How far ahead should I book?

Weekday mornings and early afternoons are usually available at short notice. Saturday and Sunday appointments and evening slots after 5pm book up fastest — a week ahead is sensible for those.

What happens if I'm running late?

Let us know as soon as you can. If you arrive late, your treatment may need to be shortened so the next client isn't affected, and the full fee will still apply. Arrivals more than halfway into the booked treatment time are treated as a no-show.

Deposits, Cancellations & Payment

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel or reschedule free of charge with at least 48 hours notice, and your deposit will be refunded in full to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice mean the deposit is forfeited. No-shows may be charged the full treatment value.

Why do you take a deposit?

A deposit confirms your appointment and holds your therapist's time. The balance is payable on the day. Our therapists are paid for booked time, so late cancellations have a real cost — the deposit is how we keep prices fair for everyone.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major debit and credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, both online and in the studio.

Should I tip, and where does it go?

Tipping is entirely optional and never expected. If you do tip, 100% of it goes to your therapist. For treatments involving more than one therapist, tips are shared equally between them.

Pamper Vouchers

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes. Pamper Vouchers can be bought online or in the studio and are available in three amounts. Your code is emailed to you immediately, so it can be used straight away.

How long is a voucher valid?

Twelve months from the date of purchase.

Can a voucher be used on any treatment?

Yes — massages, head, shoulder and foot treatments, manicures and pedicures. For wellness packages, email hello@projectpamper.co.uk and we'll arrange it by hand.

What if the treatment costs more or less than the voucher?

If it costs more, simply pay the difference on the day. If it costs less, the remaining balance stays on the voucher for next time.

Can I have a printed voucher posted to me?

Yes. Buy your voucher online and leave the delivery address at checkout, or email us. We write the card out by hand and post it free anywhere in the UK — please allow 3 to 5 working days. Your code is emailed immediately, so the voucher can be used before the card arrives.

Nail Treatments

What nail treatments do you offer?

We offer three manicures and two pedicures, plus a combined package and a full range of add-ons:

Manicures

  • Refresh — 45 minutes, £30. Shaping, buffing, cuticle care and an OPI polish finish.

  • Refine — 60 minutes, £40. Shaping, buffing, cuticle care and a gel finish.

  • Reinforce — from 85 minutes. BIAB overlay £50, BIAB with gel colour £55, BIAB infill £50.

Pedicures

  • Refresh — 60 minutes, £40. Polish finish.

  • Refine — 1 hour 15 minutes, £50. Gel finish.

Packages

  • The Total Gel Edit — 2 hours 15 minutes, £85. Refine manicure and Refine pedicure together. BIAB manicure adds £10.

What's the difference between Refresh, Refine and Reinforce?

Refresh finishes with regular polish and is the quickest option. Refine finishes with gel, which lasts around two to three weeks without chipping. Reinforce uses BIAB (Builder In A Bottle), a flexible gel overlay that adds strength to natural nails — the best choice if your nails are prone to breaking or you're growing them out

Do you do BIAB?

Yes. BIAB overlay is £50, BIAB with gel colour is £55, and infills are £50. It's part of our Reinforce manicure and can be added to The Total Gel Edit for £10.

Do you do nail art?

Yes, at four levels: Basic (dots, lines, stickers) £10; Classic (chrome, glazed, cat eye effects) £15; Creative (detailed art) £25; and Masterpiece (complex hand-painted designs and 3D gel) from £40. Please mention nail art when you book so we can allow enough time.

Can you remove gel applied somewhere else?

Yes. Gel removal is £10 on its own, or £20 including a mini-manicure. Please book it as an add-on so we can allow the time.

Do you offer acrylics or extensions?

We offer BIAB overlays and gel rather than acrylic, but we do offer extensions on builder gel.

What add-ons are available?

The Spa Upgrade (exfoliation and massage) is £15 with a manicure or £20 with a pedicure. French tips are £10. Individual nail repairs are £5 per nail.

Massage Therapies

What massages do you offer?

  • Full body massage — 45 minutes £65, 60 minutes £80, 90 minutes £115, 120 minutes £145. Choose from aromatherapy, deep tissue or hot stone.

  • Head and shoulder massage — 20 minutes £35, 30 minutes £45, 45 minutes £60, 60 minutes £75.

  • Foot reflexology — 30 minutes £45, 45 minutes £60, 60 minutes £75.

  • Foot sauna — 15 minutes £20, 30 minutes £35.

Can I have an upper body massage instead of full body?

Yes. Our head and shoulder massage covers the scalp, neck, shoulders and upper back, and can be booked on its own from 20 minutes. If you'd prefer certain areas left out of any treatment, just tell your therapist — they'll work around them.

Which massage should I choose?

Use the Massage Finder on our Massage Therapies page — five quick questions and it will suggest a treatment. If you're still unsure, your therapist will talk it through with you before you begin.

What's the difference between deep tissue and aromatherapy massage?

Aromatherapy uses light to medium pressure with essential oils, and is a good first massage or a way to unwind. Deep tissue uses slow, sustained pressure to reach deeper muscle layers, and suits chronic tightness or training-related aches. Firm pressure should feel like good pain, never sharp — tell your therapist and they'll adjust.

Do you offer pregnancy massage?

We do not currently offer massage to clients who are pregnant. Pregnancy massage requires specialist training, and we'd rather wait until we can offer it properly. Please contact us before booking if you are in your postnatal period so we can advise on suitability.

Are your massages therapeutic?

Yes. Every massage is delivered by a qualified, insured therapist, and all treatments are strictly non-sexual. You remain covered throughout, and you can ask your therapist to adjust or stop at any point.

Are men welcome?

Yes. All of our treatments are available to everyone.

Before Your Visit

How early should I arrive?

Ten minutes before your appointment. That gives you time to complete your consultation form and settle in without rushing.

What should I wear for a massage?

Whatever you're comfortable in. You'll be given privacy to undress to your comfort level, and professional draping and towels are used throughout — only the area being worked on is uncovered.

Do I need to fill in a form?

Yes. All clients complete a short consultation form before their first treatment, covering medical history, allergies and anything you'd like us to know. It takes a couple of minutes and helps us treat you safely.

Can I come if I have a medical condition?

In most cases, yes. Please tell us in advance so we can advise properly — some conditions need us to adapt the treatment, and a small number require GP clearance first. We'd always rather know beforehand than on the day.

I have sensitive skin or an allergy. Can you accommodate that?

Yes. Please tell us when you book and note it on your consultation form. We can leave affected areas out entirely, use unscented products, or patch test in advance. If you react to oils, moisturisers or fragrance, let us know and we'll plan the treatment around it.

Can I bring my child?

Clients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, with written consent given before treatment. We ask that children not being treated aren't brought into the studio, as we're a quiet space shared with other clients.

About Project Pamper

What makes Project Pamper different?

We're a nail and massage studio with a purpose. Alongside our treatments, we create training and employment pathways for young people entering the beauty industry, including apprenticeships. Good treatments, delivered by a team that's being built for the long term.

How do you support young people?

We take on apprentices and people with limited experience, and train them on the job so they gain qualifications, skills and confidence. Our apprentices work alongside qualified staff and are always supervised.

Are you a social enterprise?

Not formally. We're a business with a strong community focus, and we plan to grow our social impact as the studio establishes itself.

Do you work with charities?

We aim to partner with local organisations to reach young people who could benefit from training and employment opportunities.

Do you offer discounted treatments?

We plan to offer discounted options for people who'd otherwise struggle to access them, once the studio is fully established.

How do I stay in touch?

Join our mailing list at the bottom of any page, or follow us on Instagram at @projectpamper.london. We post new work, shade collections and studio news there.
